WORKERS COMPENSATION
Workers compensation laws were drafted to protect people’s right who were injured while acting within the scope of their employment. These laws were put in place to make sure that those employees who are injured are provided with a fixed monetary award in return for absolving the employer of liability under the tort law of negligence.
